JumpStart 0.5a5.2 has been just released. It is still pending review but you can install it from the link on the right.
First of all thanks for comments and feedback (especially to Brad who gave very detailed comment with lots of suggestions). I am now adding feature requests and reported issues from comments on the add-on’s AMO details page. Basically I would appreciate if you have found an issue to report it by following link on the right: Report a Bug. That way I am immediately notified about it and you can follow the progress on it.
As you can see this is the new homepage for New Tab JumpStart. It is still work in progress and I am working on improving it so stay tuned. You can subscribe to the news feed – basically I will only post news on new releases and maybe announce major new features so I expect one or two posts per month.

Rearrange thumbnails – drag drop

thanks for creating this awesome jump start.. great to know that u keep on improving this.. so i would like to suggest if u cud also provide some themes to it like what google chrome has. and perhaps a small search engine box on the top right too.

Great product, but found a bug
I want to start off by saying that I love this extension. When I switched to Ubuntu I started using Firefox again because it was faster and the new tab features from Chrome was one of the things that I missed the most. I’m so glad to have found this.
That said, when this is used with the User Agent Switcher extension on Ubuntu 9.10 Firefox 3.5.7 the bookmarks bar breaks. It shows up and shows your bookmarks but the bookmarks won’t actually load when you click them. I had to drag and drop the bookmarks into the address bar to get them to load.
Other than that, great extension and I hope you keep up the good work!

language bug
In my Russian locale the latest version uses another language, also Cyrillic, but not Russian… Polish or something. Prev versions were OK, other add-ons, too. Thanks for the extension, great job!

There was a similar bug in one of the earlier versions, can you please tell me which Firefox version you are using? Can you please double check which version of the extension you have installed? To check which version of New Tab JumpStart you have you need to go to menu: Tools → Add-ons and see in Extensions tab, beside extensions name. And I presume you’re locale settings are ru-RU ?

My bad, I should have checked the locale. There was a wrong entry (en). Don’t know why JumpStart showed Russian menus in the previous versions (there was ru-RU some time before, maybe another extension broke the value…). Now I changed the locale to en-US, menus are English, I’m fine with that.
